Susan Ann Milner, age 71 of Janesville, WI passed away at her home on December 2, 2025 following a courageous battle with cancer. Susan was born on October 27, 1954 in Hartford, WI, the daughter of Robert and Genevieve (Savone) Jambura. She grew up in Hartford where she graduated from Hartford Union High School. She attended MATC-Madison where she received an associate degree to be a court reporter.
Susan married Edmund J. Milner on September 3, 1977. They resided in the Hartford area where Susan began working for the Hartford school district as a teachers aid. Prior to her retirement she served the school district as the assistant to the superintendent of the Hartford School District. Susan moved to Janesville in 2016 to be closer to her daughter and grandsons.
Susan enjoyed volunteering at ECHO, made time for travel, loved doing Pilates and being outdoors. You’d often find her working in her yard, perfecting her flowers, and watching and feeding the wildlife in her backyard. Above all else, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, whether it be attending their sporting events, going to movies or endlessly feeding them in “Gram’s Kitchen.”
Susan is survived by her daughter, Amy (Glen) Hageman; grandsons, Colin and Eli Hageman; brother, Mark (Terry) Jambura; sisters, Jane Beine and Lisa (Dan) Retzlaff; niece, nephews and their families, Aaron (Courtney) Jambura, Brad Jambura, Jeff (Tiffany) Hader, Eric (Mali) Beine, Derrike (Jenna) Retzlaff, Ali (Josh) Paternoster; brother-in-law, Ron Milner; nephew, Joe (Julie) Milner; numerous cousins and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Edmund who died August 12, 2012.
