Ronald James Schultz of Janesville, WI passed away on July 9, 2026, at the age of 66. Ron was born in Elkhorn, WI on February 15, 1960, the son of Jack and Marie (Gleason) Schultz. He grew up in the Delavan area and was a graduate of Delavan-Darien High School. He was a U. S. Navy veteran. He served on the USS John F Kennedy stationed out of Norfolk, VA from June 15, 1979, to May 19, 1983, when he was honorably discharged. Ron was honored with the Navy Battle "E" ribbon, the Sea Service Deployment ribbon, and many other commendations. Following his discharge from the Navy, Ron was employed as a heavy equipment operator working though Heavy Equipment Union Local # 139.

Ron resided in the Delavan area most of his life until he retired to Florida and Hayward, WI. As his health failed, he moved to Janesville in 2025 to reside with his sister, Terri Reid, to be closer to family. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

Ron is survived by his daughters, Amber Schultz Hernandes Perez (Steve), Ashley Valadez (Jose Carlos), and Olivia Scholbe (Josh), grandchildren Deanna Schultz Patino (Daniel), Jonathan Patino, Denali Hernandez, Gabriel Hernandez, Carlos Valadez, Ruby Valadez, and Solana Valadez; and great-granddaughter Darianna Perez; siblings Donald Schultz (Cindy), Richard Schultz (Connie), Michael Schultz, Theresa Reid, John Schultz (Jeri), Mary Belden (Robert), Barbara Georgeson (Cory) a special Aunt, Nancy Laughlin, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, all of which he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Marie Schultz, many special friends and relatives and his beloved dogs Tater and Izzy.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm at The Wagon Wheel, 2891 County Rd. O S, Delavan, WI on September 12, 2026. A Veterans memorial brick will be placed at Congdon Garden, and a memorial plaque will be placed on a tree at the Delavan Arboretum.

The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the nurses and staff at Mercy Hospice in Janesville for making Ron's last days peaceful.
