Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Wilke, 92, of Janesville, was called home to eternal rest with her Savior on Friday, June 5, 2026, surrounded by her family at St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville.
Bobbie was born on May 7, 1934, in Darien, WI, to Robert and Lura (Serl) Clowes. She graduated from Darien High School in 1952. She met her future husband, Charles “Chuck” Wilke, in school where they were prom king and queen. They were joined in marriage on May 4, 1957, at the Darien Community Baptist Church, and lived in Darien before moving to Janesville in 1966.
She was an avid baker who supplied many pies, cookies, muffins and rolls to family and friends. Bobbie took on the role of bookkeeper at Wilke Motors until she and Chuck retired in 2000. She loved the time she and Chuck spent up north snowmobiling, as well as traveling to car shows with their 1953 Hudson Hornet, watching Wisconsin Badger football and basketball games, the Milwaukee Brewers, and her grandchildren’s activities.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Chuck; children, Gail (Martin) Pateros, Janesville, Lynn (Steve) Zandler, Beloit, and Gary (Christine) Wilke, Stone Lake, WI; grandchildren, Scott (Sarah Apple) Pateros, Nashville TN, Kyle (Jaclyn) Pateros, Zionsville, IN, Amy (Tyler) Raddant, Oshkosh, WI, Megan (Sam) White, Janesville, WI, Craig (Christina) Wilke, Brandon, SD, and Carly (Steven) Cegla, Caledonia, WI; great-grandchildren, Leona, Lucas, Juliet, Cecilia, Eliza, Lydia, Lily, Mina, Greta, Leo, Bennett, and Steven Jr.; and brother-in-law, Edwin (Karen) Wilke, Marenisco, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and her twin brothers, Kenneth and Keith Clowes.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 210 Ringold St, Janesville. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park, Janesville.
As an expression of sympathy, you may wish to consider memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Cedar Crest Assisted Living, 4th floor staff at SSM Hospital, and Henke-Clarson Funeral Home for their care and support.
