Robert John Wille

Robert J. Wille, age 82, of Janesville, WI passed away at Mercy Hospital on Saturday, May 10, 2025. He was born in Edgerton on May 16, 1942, the son of Norman and Dorothy (Rucks) Wille. He graduated from Milton Union High School in 1961 and later attended banking classes at Blackhawk Technical College and UW Madison.

Robert married his high school sweetheart, Sherry L. Derr on June 6, 1964. He was employed by Farmers Bank in Milton for 27 years and from 1989 to 2007 as an accountant by Milton Propane. In his spare time, Robert will be remembered as a “putzer” enjoying spending time putzing with his plants, his pets, in his garage or with almost anything. He will also be remembered for his love of his family. He was a member of Hope Lutheran church, Milton.

Robert was a 33 year kidney transplant survivor. He fought through many health issues during his life, but it was his great love for his wife, Sherry, that he continued to fight on and win.

Robert Wille is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Sherry; children, Robin (Jeff) Scott, Steven Wille, Sandy (Mike) Brown; grandchildren, Vaughan Turner, Miles Turner, Morgan (Christian) Gomes, Steven Brown, Alex (Wan) Brown, Tanner Brown, Tyler Brown; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara (Jerry) Van Natta, Ken (Grace) Wille, Kathy (Ron) Sowles, Rick (Sue) Wille. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by an infant brother, Roger Wille.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 335 Dairyland Drive, Milton. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. with luncheon to follow. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY assisted the family.
