Robert "Bob" Lee Drew

Robert Lee Drew (“Bob”) of Janesville, Wisconsin passed unexpectedly October 24, 2026, at age 92. Bob was born on June 22, 1934, to Calvin and Florence Drew in Monticello, Minnesota. He grew up in Augusta, Minnesota and playing baseball was central to his family. He married Beverly Marquardt on June 22, 1956. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary, a remarkable milestone in their life together.

Bob earned a business degree at the University of Minnesota and a Masters in School Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. Bob worked in several public school systems, completing his career at Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville. He later transitioned to private financial advising for clients in southeastern Wisconsin.

Bob and Bev traveled extensively with friends and family in the United States, Europe, Australia, Egypt, Jordan, Tanzania, Kenya, and South Africa. These journeys, along with family reunions held in far-flung places over the years, created countless lasting memories.

Giving back to the community was an important part of Bob and Bev’s lives. They volunteered with numerous charitable and community organizations, including the Lions Club, Rotary Botanical Gardens, the Gathering Place - a fishing club, and community gardens, among others.

For more than 40 years, Bob and Bev also devoted their time and creativity to envisioning, creating, and maintaining a beautiful showplace garden at their Janesville home. Their garden reflected their shared dedication, hard work, and love of nature.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife Bev, children Nanci, Mark (Julia), Linda, and Peggy, six grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, and his sister, Shirley Kamann.

A celebration of life will be planned in spring 2027.

Bob will be remembered for his devotion to family, his spirit of adventure, his commitment to community service, and the many lasting memories he created with those who knew and loved.
