Mary Margaret Tullis

Mary Margaret Tullis age 76 of Janesville, WI passed away on July 9, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home. Mary was born in Madison, WI on December 9, 1949, the daughter of Lyell and Margaret (Pynn) Tullis. She grew up in Janesville and graduated from Janesville Senior High School. She went on to attend Madison Edgewood College where she studied to become a Spanish teacher. Following graduation, she taught Spanish in various high schools until becoming disabled at an early age which forced her to retire. Mary was a devout Catholic Christian who attended church regularly until heath issues prevented her from doing so.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Lyell and Margret Tullis; brother Michael Tullis and sister, Catherine Tullis. She is survived by brothers and sisters; Richard (MaryKay) Tullis of San Francisco, CA; Judith Tullis of Seattle, WA; Jean Tullis of Milton, WI; John (Kathy) Tullis of Seattle, WA; James (Kathy) Tullis of Madison, WI; Alice Tullis of Seattle, WA.

Mary’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to Kaj Anderson and Jennifer Venable of Community Support Programs for all of their help in caring for her. You are truly unsung heroes. Also, a special thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth Nursing Home for the wonderful understanding care they gave her.

A celebration of life service will be held at a future date to honor Mary’s life. HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting Mary Tullis’ family.
