Marlow O. Johnson, age 86, of Janesville passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Huntington Place. Marlow was born on June 25, 1939, in Pelican Rapids, MN, the son of Helmer and Hilda (Stubstad) Johnson. He grew up on a farm outside of Barnesville, MN and was a graduate of Pelican Rapids High School. Marlow was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Germany.

Marlow moved to Janesville to work at the General Motors plant where he was employed for 30 years. On December 14, 1968, he married Doris Johnson. They had three children, Sara, Marty and Pete. Doris passed away on September 17, 2007. Marlow married Margo (Flynn) Cotham on August 12, 2009, and she preceded him in death on July 29, 2011.

Marlow was a long-time member of St. John Lutheran Church and an active member of U.A.W. Local #95. In his retirement years, he became very active politically. He will be remembered for his love of singing and fishing.

Marlow is survived by his sons, Marty (Jackie Evans) Johnson of Janesville, and Pete (Bethany) Johnson of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren, Alex, Harmony and Eli; and a sister, Shirley (Duane) Svanes. In addition to his parents and both of his wives, Marlow was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Johnson and his sister, Joyce Sillerud.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 5, 2025, at MILTON LAWNS MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 2200 Milton Avenue, Janesville. Rev. Bond Haldeman will officiate. Interment will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
