Marjorie Funk

Marjory Catherine Funk, age 92 of Janesville, WI passed away at Rock Haven on June 11, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1933 in Cable, WI, the daughter of David and Blanche (Fries) Mc Naught. Marjory grew up in Cable and graduated from high school there. After moving to Janesville, Marjory married Albert “Al” Funk on August 18, 1956.

For a time, Marjory was employed as a counter manager at the Janesville Woolworth’s Department Store. She also enjoyed being a homemaker for many years. Marjory was very active with her husband, AL with the United Commercial Travelers, Richard Ellis American Legion Post # 205, the 40 & 8 veteran’s group and was a member of Nativity of Mary Catholic Church.

Marjory is survived by three children; Mike (Kathy) Funk of Janesville, Mary (Tom) Alderman of Beloit, Matthew (Kristen) Funk of New Glaus, WI; four grandchildren, Mary (Jon) Cummins of Janesville, Nicholas Funk of Perrysburg, OH, Sydney Pooler of Menomonie, WI, Emma Funk of New Glarus, WI; two great-grandchildren, Addisyn and Sutton Cummins; two sisters, Shirley (Pat) Clare, Jean Rice; two brothers, Ron McNaught and Bob McNaught. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Funk on December 24, 2022. Her parents and eight brothers and sisters also predeceased her.
