Laurence O. “Larry” Fry, age 87 of Janesville, passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, February 13, 2026. He was born on July 29, 1938, in Mauston, Wis., the son of Laurence and Mabel (Dunklee) Fry. Larry was a graduate of Janesville Senior High School. He married Jean Ann Blanch on December 8, 1959.
Larry will be remembered for his love for electronics and being a ham radio operator. He served as a tester for ham radio operator licenses for many years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he taught Sunday School and helped televise the church services for 25 years.
Larry is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jean Fry; five children, Scott (Dawn) Fry, Susan (Brad) Larson, Mark (Mary) Fry, Larry (Penny) Fry, and Nancy Anderson; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and his sister, Kathy (Gary) Hallett.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Parker Drive, Janesville, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m. Pastor Bond Haldeman will officiate. Entombment will be in the Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church or Agrace Hospice.
