Kenneth David Kitelinger, age 82, passed away with family at his side July 25, 2025. He was born on Sept 16, 1942, in Janesville, WI, the son of Kenneth J and Helen L (Kirscher) Kitelinger. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1961, and UW Madison School of Pharmacy in 1966. On August 5, 1967, he married the love of his life Ellen D Tutton at St. Mary’s Church in Janesville and shared a wonderful life together of almost 58 years.
He lived in Janesville and worked as a pharmacist for 41 years, starting at the Kennedy Rexall stores and retiring from Walgreens. In between he was proud to own Reliable Pharmacy for many years.
Throughout his life, he participated in several church and community organizations. One of his favorites was being an adult leader for his son's Boy Scout troop and local district. They enjoyed many camping trips and outdoor activities together. He also enjoyed the outdoors at his family cabin on the lake and created many memories of fishing, swimming, and boating. He earned the nickname of ‘Captain Ken’ by commanding the helm of his pontoon. He was an avid fan of the Badgers, Bucks, Brewers, and of course the Packers.
Ken is survived by his wife, Ellen; son, David (Gracia) Kitelinger; and grandchildren, Greta Kitelinger and Nolan Kitelinger. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jim (Diane) Kitelinger.
