Jody Lee Kraus

Jody Lee Kraus, age 51 of Janesville, passed away at Mercy Hospital on Sunday, October 11, 2026, following a brief illness. She was born in Killeen, Texas on May 2, 1975, the daughter of Jeffrey and Wendy (Cassity) Kraus. Jody grew up in Milton where she graduated from Milton High School in 1994. Jody attended Black Hawk Technical College and UW-Whitewater, as well as attaining a nail tech certificate to become a nail technician. Jody was formerly employed by Lear Seating, Chamber & Owen and General Motors.

Jody will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her son Jacob, for whom her life revolved around. She loved spending time at the “schoolhouse” her family’s cottage in Reedsburg. As a teenager, Jody was a member of Jobs Daughters.

Jody is survived by her son, Jacob Larson; mother, Wendy Kraus; brother, Eric (Ronae) Kraus; nephew, Isaac Kraus; niece, Hannah Kraus; aunts, Linda (Randy) Loveland and Sherry Masters; uncle, Ricky Kraus; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Jeffrey Kraus; and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2026, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Father David Timmerman will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16th at the funeral home.
