Harry E. Roberts Jr.

Harry E. Roberts Jr. of Janesville, WI passed away on March 30, 2026 in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born in Janesville on December 25, 1942, the son of Harry E. Roberts Sr. and Gladys (Scott) Roberts. He grew up on the family farm in La Prairie Township. He graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1960 where he was a state champion wrestler. Harry went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he received a degree in pharmacy and agriculture in 1965.

Harry married Sharon Ann Emerson on August 13, 1965. They resided on the family farm in La Prairie Township where they operated the farm and Harry worked as a pharmacist from 1965 to 2007. He owned Raintree Pharmacy for five years, was employed by ShopKo Pharmacy, Kealey’s Pharmacy, Union Prescription Center and as a relief pharmacist. On the farm, Harry raised chickens, cows, horses, pigs and Mr. Bob, the llama he purchased at an auction for his granddaughter, Shannon. Harry had a special love for gardening especially growing squash, tomatoes, Asian pears, peaches, asparagus, strawberries, sugar snap peas as well as numerous flowers.

Harry was a long-time supporter of the La Prairie 4-H club. He was a member of Janesville Moose Lodge # 197, the La Prairie Grange and Christ Community Church in Clinton.

Survivors include his daughter, Fawn (Tom) LeVault of Grand Rapids, MI; grandchildren, Shannon (Derrick) Van Beek, Justin (Maribeth) Ryder, Thomas (Lindsey) LeVault Jr., Kasondra (Dustin) Hall, Kyle (Haley) LeVault, and Mercedes (Billy) Tharp; 17 great-grandchildren; his sister, Janet Luiting; numerous nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded by his wife, Sharon Roberts on April 26, 2025 and by his son, Scott Roberts on June 17, 2025. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Shirley Culver.

A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2026 at CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH, 402 Church St., Clinton, WI. Services will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mike Ligman officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. An interment service for Harry, Sharon and Scott Roberts will be held at 2 p.m. April 11, 2026 at the Emerald Grove Cemetery.
