Gordon Lee Hill, Jr.

Gordon Lee Hill, Jr., age 89 of Janesville, passed away on December 9, 2025, at Oak Park Place. He was born on August 15,1936 in Janesville, the son of Gordon L. Hill, Sr. and Geraldine (Hansen) Hill.

He attended grades one to eight at the one room Van Allen School and graduated from Janesville High School in 1954 where he was an FFA member. During these years, Gordon was a 4-H member and showed Guernsey cattle at the Rock County 4-H Fair and the Wisconsin State Fair. Gordon attended the UW-Madison Agriculture Short Course and returned to the UW-Madison School of Agriculture to receive a degree in Dairy Science. He was a member of the UW Dairy Judging Team and a member of the agriculture fraternity, Delta Sigma. While at UW-Madison, Gordon was a member of the ROTC and he served as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in San Antonio, TX for a time.

Gordon lived his entire life on the family’s farm, Hill O Farm in La Prairie Township. In 1996, he and his cousins, John and Jim Hill, formed a new farming partnership, Frosty View Farms, in which he continued to be involved until his passing.

Gordon is survived by his two sisters, Marjorie (Kenneth) Haberman, and Catherine (John) Lader; nephews, David (Cindy) Haberman and Cindy’s children Jeanie Ortiz and Eric Zimmerman; Steven (Laurie) Haberman; niece, Julie (Scott) Wagner and her children, Tyler (Lauren) Wagner and Samantha (Derby) Jacobs; special cousins, Diane Goodger, Audrey (William) Mueller, Betty Hill, Clarice Hill, John Hill and Jim (Sue) Hill. In addition to his parents, Gordon Sr. and Gerldine Hill, Gordon Jr. was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Fay Hill and Mathew and Rose Hansen.

To honor Gordon’s wishes, services will be private with burial in Emerald Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Gordon’s name to the Rock County 4-H Fair Alumni or Agrace Hospice.
