Georgine Ruth Foerster

Georgine Ruth Foerster age 63, of Janesville passed away at her home on August 28, 2026. She was born in Janesville on March 31, 1963, the daughter of George and Margaret (Quale) Selvog. She married Luis Torija and resided in Mexico for several years. She later married Thomas Foerster in 2008. Georgine was formerly employed by Precision Drawn Metals as an inspector.

Georgine is survived by her sons, Luis and Jorge; siblings Char Christensen, Dennis, Keith and Tom Selvog, Peggy Fredriksen as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Foerster, her parents and her sister, Judy Dewey.

A celebration of life will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 North Wright Road, Janesville on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Town of Rock Cemetery.
