Frank G. Probst

Frank G. Probst of Janesville passed away on February 13, 2026 at Mercy Hospital at the age of 97. Frank was born on September 14, 1928 in Janesville, the youngest of nine children born to Joseph and Martha (Barth) Probst. He grew up on a farm in the Janesville area. He entered the U.S. Marines on September 25, 1945 and was honorably discharged on September 24, 1949. Frank married Rose Ann Weaver on October 1, 1955. She preceded him in death on October 1, 2004.

Frank was employed by Seneca Foods from December 22, 1950 to May 1, 1994 and received the Senaca Foods Corporate Retirement Award for 44 years of employment.

Frank cherished spending time with his family. He enjoyed the farm, horses and other animals, collecting antique cars and tractors and visiting central California.

Frank is survived by 3 sons, Dr. Joseph C. Probst, Dannie M. (Julie) Probst and Timothy A. (Diane) Probst; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his wife, parents and a son Randall L. Probst.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, March 27, 2026 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 North Wright Road, Janesville. Funeral services will follow at Noon March 27th at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to www.henkeclarson.com.
