Ernest Wayne Gagnon, age 70, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2025, after an extremely brave battle with cancer. Ernest cherished his time at the family campground spot in northern Wisconsin, where he found peace and joy among loved ones. Ernest will be fondly remembered as the world’s greatest history buff, whose passion for the past inspired everyone who knew him.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Jeannette Gagnon; 4 children, Brandon Gagnon, Chad (Cindi) Seichter, Christopher (Jodi) Seichter, Ashley (Kevin) Witte; 7 grandchildren, Gavin, Alexa, Kolton, Dan, Maddie, Noah, Ian; 4 great-children, Brooks, Bodhi, Brynlee and Declan; 2 sisters, Linda and Barb; 4 brothers James, Clayton, David and Tad.
