Eloise T. Peterson

Eloise T. Peterson, age 90 of Janesville, passed away on August 17, 2026, at Alden Estates, Jefferson. She was born on June 21, 1936, in Johnstown Township, the daughter of Frank and Angela (Schuetter) Wellnitz. She grew up on the family farm in Johnstown Township and graduated from Janesville High School.

Eloise married Maurice J. Peterson on June 2, 1963. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2025. Eloise was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She enjoyed baking, cooking and being outside working in the family garden. Eloise was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton.

Eloise Peterson is survived by her sons, Steven (Tracey), Timothy and Daniel (Stephanie); and her sister, Rose Mair. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
