Eileen C. Hunsader of Janesville, WI passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born on September 14, 1927, in Grygla, MN, the daughter of John and Carrie (Schneider) Maney. After moving to Plummer, MN and graduating high school, Eileen took a train to Indiana for Stenography School and was hired as a Stenographer at Western Union. She later transferred to Sturgeon Bay, WI where she met Ralph (Pete) Hunsader.
In 1948 she married Pete and they moved to Janesville, WI, where they raised their family of five children. Her family was her treasure and she took great pride in raising them.
Eileen will be remembered for her unwavering selflessness and dedication to family and friends.
Throughout the years, Eileen enjoyed doing many things with her family and friends, especially playing bingo and rummage sale-ing with her lifelong friend, Janet. Holiday and birthday gatherings were always held in the heart of her home.
Eileen is survived by her five children: Pam (Steve) Pfaff of Milton, Mike Hunsader of Phoenix, AZ, Peter (Karen) Hunsader of Reno, NV, Sally (Todd) Herrington of Janesville, and Tom (Carrie Severance) Hunsader of Janesville. Her grandchildren Carrie (Major Cain Jr.) Howard, Heather (Marc) Pietranton, Nicole (Michael) Freeman, Joseph (Meleanie Rojas) Hunsader, Peter Barnato, Scott (Krystal) Barnato, Blake (Becky) Stephens, Ian (Cara) Johnson, Elias (Lauryn Wery) Herrington, Mirisa (Michael) Mancano, Samuel (Mykelti) Severance, Sean Severance, Scott Severance, Spencer Severance, Katelynn (Edison) Davila; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, Pete; her parents, John and Carrie; her brothers, Doug and Leroy; and her sisters, Nadine and Gerry.
A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Milton, WI followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Mount Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum, Janesville.
