Delma Jean Head

With great sorrow, the Head Family says goodbye to their mother, Delma Jean Alice. She was a caring mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026 at the age of 91.

Born December 27, 1934 to Edward and Elsie Enke of Prairie du Chien, she was one of nine children.

After graduating from Prairie High School, she married Raymond Head and relocated to Janesville. Together they had six children: John, Harold, Robert, Susan, Mike, and Joan.

She drove school bus for the Milton School District for 37 years and enjoyed meeting the new children every school year.

She had a fun spirited soul which took on many passions. She loved her cats, gardening, spending time in the kitchen, playing bingo, and watching sports (Go Packers!).

She is survived by her brother Don Enke, her son Mike, daughters Susan and Joan, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, seven siblings and their spouses, and sons: John, Harold, and Robert.
