Carl Joseph Angilello

Carl Joseph Angilello, age 81 of Janesville, WI passed away at his home on May 7, 2025. Carl was born in Janesville on March 21, 1944, the son of Joseph and Jeanette (Joseph) Angilello. He grew up in Janesville, attended St. William’s grade school and graduated from Janesville Senior High School in 1962. He attended U-W Whitewater for two years.

Carl married Jeannette L. Kaufman on October 7, 1967. He served in the Wisconsin National Guard for 7 years. Carl was employed in the office at General Motors for 37 ½ years. After he retired Carl worked for Porter’s Lawn & Garden, drove cars for used car dealers and helped at the Hat Rack tavern in Avalon where he especially enjoyed calling raffles on Sunday morning. He was a foster father for numerous foster children through the Rock County Social Service Department over the years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Jeannette Angilello; sisters, Regina “Gina” Bauer, Josephine “Josie” (Jim) Olson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; his special fishing buddies, many close friends as well as his beloved dog, Gracie.

Carl’s family would like to acknowledge the loving care given to Carl by Agrace Hospice.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 n. Wright Road, Janesville. Private burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15th at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace Hospice or the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin.
