Bonnie Sayre Kato

Bonnie Sayre Kato, 56, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2026. She was born on May 29, 1970, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and most recently made her home in Janesville, Wisconsin.

Bonnie will be deeply missed by her beloved life partner of 24 years, Donald Cisewski; her mother, Robin Brinkhaus; her sisters, Beth Kato (Jimmy Robinson) and Bridget (Mike) Nelson; her stepchildren, Ashley (Adam) Tollefson, Justin Cisewski (Rachel Schneider), and Emma (Blake) Langan; her grandmother, Nancy Goughnour; her uncle, Fred (Beth Johnson) Goughnour; her stepfather, Mike Anderson, and his wife, Kathy Morgan; her stepmother, Bev Kato; her cousins, Erik, Guy, and Julia Goughnour; her niece, Ayla Nelson; her nephew, Julian Nelson; and her grandchildren, Gordon and Teddy Langan, and Ayla and Caspian Schneider.

She was preceded in death by her father, Timothy Kato; her brother, Jacob Kato; her grandfather, Robert Goughnour; her grandparents, James and Bernadine (Mullin) Kato; and several beloved dog companions who were cherished members of her family throughout her life.

Bonnie had an infectious laugh and a way of making you feel like you were her friend without trying. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with loved ones, and relaxing outside on a sunny afternoon.

Bonnie’s memory will live on through the family and friends who loved her and through the many lives she touched. She will be remembered with love and missed more than words can express.

A private celebration of life will take place on a future date.
