Betty Lou Rutter

Betty Lou (Ward) Rutter, 85, of Janesville, WI passed away on March 5 after a brief stay at Cedar Crest Rehabilitation Center in Janesville. Betty was born on October 23, 1937 in Prairie du Chien, WI to Frederick “Earl” and Anna (Konichek) Ward. After graduating from high school, Betty worked as a nurse’s aide where she met a young patient named Leland Rutter. They were married on June 8, 1962.

Betty is survived by three sons: Timothy of Janesville, WI, Troy of Madison, WI, Tracy (Julie) of Janesville, WI; sister Ellen Tyler of Negaunee, MI; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Cedar Crest and Agrace Hospice Care for their tender and dedicated care in her final weeks. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Henke-Clarson Funeral Home & Crematory, Janesville is assisting the family.
